Southeast Director of Sales
Marc Weiss joined the IHPN team in 2020, bringing 25 years of healthcare sales and marketing experience to the team. As a resourceful and high-energy healthcare industry sales professional with broad experience marketing pharmaceuticals and medical supplies to local and national accounts, Marc is a great asset to IHPN’s current and future members.
Prior to joining IHPN, Marc most recently spent a year working for a long-term care pharmacy, concentrating on both skilled nursing facilities and adult living facilities. He also spent nearly 18 years as a health systems account manager with McKesson and five years as a sales executive at AmerisourceBergen. Among his areas of expertise:
- Established and maintained distribution of pharmaceuticals to long-term care, community, infusion, and specialty pharmacies
- Significant experience in working with GPO contracts, selling to both hospitals and pharmacies
- Networked proactively with GPOs and retail buying groups to promote quality products and cost containment solutions to healthcare providers to enhance patients’ outcomes and strengthen their business
- Expertly worked with pharmacies’ purchasing departments to improve their profitability through strategic buying
